Burt Process Neutralization Systems
are engineered, integrated, and completely prepackaged
units with automatic controls and instrumentation
designed for ease of installation and maximum reliability.
Each system is a complete set of equipment ready
for interconnecting plumbing and electrical service.
All components are thoroughly tested prior to shipment
to insure reliability and ease of start-up.
The neutralization systems accept wastewater on
a continuous basis at a flow rate of up to 300 GPM
and a pH of 1-14. These systems use highly efficient
reaction vessels with the AVS Vortex Reduction System.
The heavy duty HDPE reaction tanks are agitated
continuously by means of an impeller style vector
agitator while sulfuric acid or sodium hydroxide
is added on a proportional basis depending on the
relative pH of the incoming wastewater. pH is controlled
by a microprocessor based controller with a self-cleaning
pH prove in the reaction tanks. |

The reagents are fed by electronic
proportioning metering pumps from reagent tanks
to minimize handling of corrosive chemicals.
The effluent leaving the process is monitored by
a second self-cleaning pH probe in a U-trap assembly
providing permanent record of pH by means of a 31
day strip chart recorder. Options are available
for monitoring instantaneous and total flow of the
effluent stream.
All systems include an alarm annunciator to provide
alarm signals indicating any improper operating
conditions.
All systems are offered with a minimum of eight
(8) hours of start-up assistance and operator training
by a Burt Process Systems technician to insure proper
operation of all equipment and instrumentation.
A follow-up preventative maintenance and service
contract is also available after the initial start-up
to insure uninterrupted service and optimum performance. |
